Rumour

Rumour

A Poem by Koda

The steady night breeze, It's a little cold
My breath makes a cloud..no one can know
My hand shakes from a sinful night
The tear stain ground was my first mistake.

Young that is what I am,
Barely in my 20s and I have caused so much pain
No one must know
We believe in secrets and solitude
Never to be sought out by wandering ears

Whispers turn into accusations
No longer a mistake but a crime
Guilty until proven innocent
Who created such a law

Alone that is what I was
A liar is what you thought
Mistaken and mislead is what you were
But to you I was wrong

How can such a disgraceful event turn horrific
When the most a bystander can do is point the blame
I wasn't at fault, it was he.
But the he said she said situation, placed me on trial
And the trial got dismissed

The end result being I was wrong for my clothes being too tight
But I had forgot my sweater in the car
Wandering eyes took notice
Pulled me astray
Screams drowned by music
Only to walk home at 3am in pouring rain

Just for the blame to be pointed at me
The trial dismissed
It's no surprise no one speaks up
It's would of been better if it was just...
A rumour

Never think just once. Read twice. And always be optimistic. There's always a bigger picture. Maybe this one has more colour. Just picture a rainbow. You might see something a little differen.. more..
