Misty Eyes

Misty Eyes

A Poem by Koda

They say I was blind
For I could not see

But through misty eyes
I saw more than they believed

Colours, there was no such thing
But among the shape I already knew what it was

I saw the outline it looked still and frozen
Peaceful, but it's face unearthly
Through time and despair I waited for it to move
But as the seasons went by it couldn't

Arms wrapped around, Its legs straight
And at first touch the skin was soft and sticky
But turned cold and hard later

I heard sirens but they were only noise
Still looking down, it was such a mess
But a beautiful thing at that

But at the last minute I whispered goodbye
And it whispered back
Don't worry you'll be whole again

Never think just once. Read twice. And always be optimistic. There's always a bigger picture. Maybe this one has more colour. Just picture a rainbow. You might see something a little differen.. more..
