Black Tears

Black Tears

A Poem by Koda

I listened through closed doors
I waited
I saw through the clear windows
I turned away
I know things I shouldn't
I hid my face in my knees
I cried and no one knew why
tried
Days and years went by
My nights got longer
My sleep got shorter
And still I cried only one person knew why
Through pain I feel
I heard and seen, and no one knew
I tried to change
To be better, be liked by others
Prettier, smarter, funnier
Is what they all wanted
And I couldn't give
I cried because I was lost
I cried because I was confused
I cried because everyone wanted me to be perfect
I cried because you said you loved me but didn't
I cried because I was lonely
I cried because I was Scared
But only one person knew why
Me, because no one believed
That I was strong enough to survive
Because they all wanted more than I could give
So I cried, alone in my room
Till the tears were no more

Never think just once. Read twice. And always be optimistic. There's always a bigger picture. Maybe this one has more colour. Just picture a rainbow. You might see something a little differen.. more..
