What is it like to be lonely?

When you feel you can’t trust a soul….

When you feel abandoned by people….

When you can’t stop crying for no reason….

When you can’t be around others because you can’t speak…

 

You are alive, but you only exist….

You speak but no one can hear a word….

You scream and they stare at you…

 

Others say they are there for you and that they are your friend….

But they don’t mean it!

Those words are meaningless, said because it is a fad…

Lonely lost kids believe it…

Only because it is all they have….

 

Hugs are simple and meaningless…

Smiles hide behind darkness…

Laughter fades into an old era…

Trust burns like hell…..

Death is scary….

Where do I turn?
