The Pain of Happiness

I feel the pain in my heart every time we are apart
I tell my self we will be back together soon and that i will be okay
But it only helps when i hear it from you

All the wonderful things i feel when im with you
All the pain when im not
Oh how i wish i never had to leave you

I worry you will forget the happiness we feel when we are together and not come back
For a slit second sometimes i wonder if the happiness is worth the pain
Then i knock some sence into my self and say what is happiness without pain
For without pain we could not expereance true happiness

And finally the time comes when im back in your arms and i know it was all worth it
Every little doubt i had has vanished
All my tears replaced with smiles

And i think about the pain thats about to follow
With fear in my heart no more
Because if it wasnt for the pain i felt when I was away from you
The happiness woulnt be as great as when I am
