Finish what I've started

Finish what I've started

A Poem by Bella-Marie

Nerves tangle at my stomach
I groan
My friend looks at me with fury
I step out onto the train tracks

The roaring of the train
Makes my hairline sweat
The juddering rails
Makes my palms slippery

It's so close
Ten metres
Five
Four
Three
Two
One

I jump out of the way

My foot catches on the side
I am caterpaulted into the air
My friend screams
I land with a sickening thud

My leg is mangled
Bloody and broken
I am bruised
Battered
Shattered
My friend rings the Ambos
She runs

I am blacking out when they arrive
My leg is dirtied
Too dirty to save
I lie in Hospital
My life feels over

Three months later
I'm there again
But the rumbling and juddering
Makes me smile
I close my eyes
And don't watch
As the train smacks into me
And crushes me to pulp

I've finished what I've started

This is really good! Like mischeif said, it's almost like a story. It was entirely captivating and I liked it.

??????????????What sort of a friend is that who just looks at you with fury when your trying to kill yourself. Nice poem, though it's descriptive, like a story!
