Courting in Riddles

Courting in Riddles

A Poem by Bella-Marie

"
A morsel of food hanging
From my mouth
I set upon figuring out
This curious riddle

For the Queen to
advocate the person
she detested is something
Is a topic I must be chary of

But finally I realize
The sapphire displayed on his
Finger will enrapture anyone
With a tiny mind

And so the riddle is solved
And the Queen is publicly
labeled an idiot for courting
The cheating Lord.

I don't get it but it really reminds me about Alice in Wonder land or maybe that's just because I'm on holiday. Great writing anyway
