School Punishment

School Punishment

A Poem by Bella-Marie
"

school punishment

"

Smack upon the palms of hands

Girls tie up hair with rubber bands

As the bell begins to go

Another girl says "Told you so."

"Told us what?" was the reply

"To hve hair down," says other, sly

"When it's down it isn't good

Your hands get hit with bamboo wood."

The girls go home, but sores remain

And it's not emotion that brings the pain

Huge red welts are on the skin

"Ouch!" is the cry, whilst salty tears brim

The next day is one of shock

"Teacher's gone! Hooray!" kids mock

But coporal punishment has been banned

So he's in jail for hurting hands
