The jumble of thoughtsA Poem by Bella-MarieI hope it makes senseA thousand stars lighting the sky Night settles upon the Earth as I look The troubles of day melt like butter As the sun sets once more And yet as I watch the night roll by A sadness grips me by this brook "The day has gone," I slowly utter Will this night end? I am not sure
As I sit here sadly, by the shore As the wind begins to mutter I grieve for all that death has took The people who will surely die
And with this thought, I start to cry Unfurl my feelings, and yet, the brook It seems to understand my stutter And light is glinting on the floor The sun is rising, I'm not sure why And as if they're captured by a hook My hands are flailing, all a-flutter Why did day start? I am not sure © 2009 Bella-MarieAuthor's Note
