marigold

marigold

A Poem by xeroxcandybar

We fight silent battles

of selfdoubleguessing

and I fear I have become

disconcertingly derision

in all of this

it makes me feel old….

as if I were to lapse entirely into

a somnolent  pot plant life

I float into to it

with the radiant aimlessness

of an existential hero.
