NO MAN WANTS TO BECOME ME

NO MAN WANTS TO BECOME ME

A Poem by Rik B
"

Because Evil has a Face

"

The world turns and I stand still in this twisted life,

I am curled; I have been mangled and whipped.

What I have seen can only be imagined in your mind.

I have been devoured and spit out of hell one too many times.

Crackling curds of one’s sole have lacerated my skin,

I have bled out, and have been reintroduced to life.

I slither through the lands as if I were on the hunt.

The night is my haven for lavishing my thoughts.

Cry for humanity, for I am the future of nothingness,

I am what is left of those that were not strong enough.

Hide from the mystery of the dreams unfolded,

Hide your thoughts from my wandering mind.

Ruins and dead dried lands lay across the blanched earth

Caused by the pain I have endured through time

No one knows if all will be recovered with faith,

No one knows if faith will recover with time.

I have become what no man wants to become

I have been bludgeoned and ripped apart by evil

My soul is bare and my heart is black as coal,

I am the very worst of the worst that there is.

I stalk and I prey among the week of heart

I shall feast on those that do not have faith in their God.

I am not sinful, for I am not of your kind.

Look away and do not try to save me from my destiny.

Be brave and strong and fight for what is right

Do not let me counter you moves in change your path

Take the detour around my presence, avoid my wrath

For I will destroy all that is good in your life.
