MamaA Poem by BeforeSunset
Dear mama, I'm not a book
You can't just put me on a shelf Mark your place with a book mark And expect me to be that same when you pick me back up again Mama, you know I never stopped loving you A mother is God in the eyes of a child But you left without a second glance And you weren't back for a while Mama, I needed you but you weren't there I hugged myself and pretended it was you My empty arms were left bare But to be honest, that was nothing new Maybe the pages and ink were supplied by you and him But I wrote the story myself With no help from you You couldn't even guess the story withen.
