Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes

A Poem by Bee Oxford

I used to buy sweet potatoes
Every time I went to the store.
My partner doesn't like them.
I realize: I never buy them anymore.

It's brief and meaningful!

I love this, short and bittersweet just like the passing thought that you don't buy them anymore. Go buy some sweet potatoes!

Gee
In any successful relationship their is compromise but it should be a two way street :)

I'm not sure if this is fictional, but I'm sure if your partner can recognize that sweet potatoes are important to you, it won't take long for him to pick some up for you, himself.

Thanks for sharing; I'm reminded of Hemingway's six word flash-fiction - sometimes a little can say a lot.

No, I get it - it's called an objective correlative.

Again, thanks for sharing.
