The Heart and MindA Poem by MyrmidonHow nice it felt to get this onto paper. How to trust the heart and mind, when so easily they unwind. When thoughts of one should be enough, hints of another make it rough. In your chest you feel heavy and light, while not knowing which is right. A night with one is all you need, for an infatuation to take seed. Then no warning will be given, till too late and you are stricken. Through the day the strike will fade, and no decision will be made. You are then where you began, wondering if you ever can. Believe in anything you may think, when thoughts come and go as you blink? So if you’re ever confused about what is true, do not choose between the two. Let time tell what you’re trying to find, and ignore the stupid heart and mind. © 2012 MyrmidonAuthor's Note
