Eternal Love

Eternal Love

love beyond death

Eternal Love

She floats along the briny cliff,

Fire-red hair enveloping her face.

Her dripping cloak hides her bloodied wounds,

Suddenly he shouts her, “Grace…Grace!”

She turns to find that he is not there,

I watch as she collapses in pain.

They say you can hear her cries from miles away,

Even in the wind and rain.

He calls her once more, “Gracie where are you?”

“I am here my darling!” She cries.

She rises, staring toward the sound,

There he is, in the sea with the tide.

He glides o’er the rocks to meet her,

She stands and waits for him.

She falls into his open arms,

And they kiss in the moonlight so dim.

Hand in hand they walk out to sea,

Beneath the waves they disappear.

I envy their spectral eternal love

And wish for a love as dear.

Liked. One more poor soul tragically damned by love of a fantasy? Ah, well. It happens to the best of us.

Lol thank you.
try rewriting this in past tense. it may flow better then. I really like the imagery you pictured here. keep the details in. keep it simple. try to keep each line's meter the same. i look forward reading more.
