Ignorance

They didn’t listen,

They never do.

She cut herself,

Because she was blue.

They shouted, screamed,

Strained and stressed,

Because her scars looked such a mess.

They could never understand,

She was so misunderstood.

She tried to tell them,

All she could.

They still didn’t listen,

She needed care.

They seemed to hate her,

Just because she was there.

They hurt her again,

She wrote a note.

Crying, she took off in her father’s boat.

Those who didn’t listen,

Read the note.

They hurried to the lake,

To find the boat.

They found the boat,

All ruined and inflames,

In the water they found her body,

They felt the blame.

They didn’t listen,

They never do.

She committed suicide,

Because she weas blue.

They never listened,

They did not know how,

Perhaps…

They’ll listen now.

If you ever need someone to talk to, please talk to me. Or someone. There are multiple organisation and agencies out there willing to help you. cutting yourself is never the answer. Killing yourself is a permanent answer to a temporary problem. Don't do it. The poem itself was very well-write. I really liked it.

I was a suicidal lad way back then. I attempted twice. I tried hanging meself the first time. The rope broke off the moment I was about to pass out. I took it the incident as s message that I shouldn't do it. Then depression sets in again and I thought about killing myself again. I swiped my best friend's mum's sleeping pills. I wrote me note then swallowed the whole bottle with me flatmate's whiskey. Obviously, it didn't work. I woke up in the hospital a week after my attempt. My girlfriend at the time walked in on me just minutes after I swallowed the pills. Again, I took that as a sign that shouldn't kill myself. Three months after this whole thing I proposed to my girlfriend. She said no. The. Broke up with me a week later. It turns out she was cheating on me with my best friend. She went to my flat that day to break up with me. I've been single ever since.

Moral of the story is don't kill yourself.

Also, if you're going to do it, don't burn down your pop's boat. That is just plain cruel.
