Only intelligence could seep through to my heart,

Understand that you’re lying.

 

Something I couldn’t even tell, I wish I could

Have seen what you had planned before you went and tore

Out of me, what I had wanted for so long and everything

Underlying the things you told me, you promised me;

Love, a family, and everything, just thrown

Down a metaphorical drain of despair.

 

Because it’s in every right that I had wanted, to be happy

Each day waking up with that smile on my face, a laugh on my lips

 

Hard to tell that it was all a lie, all just a twisted game

And I played it well to your satisfaction, unaware of all the

Pain you would place upon this poor heart of mine.

Pumping slowly, to its’ end as it tries to survive

Your harsh words, as it drifts to a stop.
