Beauty, Through Eyes BlindA Poem by Miss Marie Riorden."When she was just a girl, she expected the world; but it flew away from her reach, so she runs away in her dreams." - Paradise (Coldplay)

Tempted through those skies of blackened
Clouds, covering up stars; hiding true beauty.
Leaving behind those words, stuck in between
Reality, your mind, and every little catch
Of breath you cannot seem to take.
Fragile as glass, a winged butterfly,
One who's lost its' wings, it's heart;
As the dust settles to the ground
Broken, torn, unrecognized.
One last look, frail, as life leaves.
Pained glances prevented, an eye to eye;
Heart to heart thing. It cannot be
Comprehended, understood by those
Whom do not know what reality
Has shown to their hearts, their souls.
Unwillingly, you speak of dreams,
Of sights that have been
Unrevealed; to a blind eye
That cannot see the
True beauty you possess.
Pictures can paint words, but
Eyes can show a story
Written on parchment
Hidden, undiscovered,
In the center of your heart.
That if only one day you
The things the world has
In store for you; indescribable
By the words said by man.
