Take A Stand

Take A Stand

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Just to show her how beautiful she is...

"

Her eyes turned aside

She speaks of a suicide

Her wrists are scarred

All bloody and marred

She wants another chance

One last dance

That will change her very life

Instead of the double-edged knife

That protrudes out of her back

From the lies you have a knack

For, that cause her to cry

And then she'll lie

Saying she's absolutely fine

That she hasn't crossed her line

Drawn so precise and neat

So come and take a seat

Listen to the girl who can't speak

Who's secrets don't leak

No matter who does what to her

The obscenities that occur

Within her heart so torn and hurt

She no longer wants to be dirt

And if you'd listen, you'd see

Just how much she wants to be free

No more chains

Or stains

Upon her broken heart

Bring it back to the start

When she didn't feel pain

Wrists didn't bleed like rain

Take a stand and show her boy

That she's not just someone's toy

Take a stand and begin to show

Her that you know

That she's hurt and you'll try your best

To get past everything, pass her test

Of trust and you'll make her see

Just how beautiful she is to me.
