Dead Or Alive

Dead Or Alive

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Closure - Asking Alexandria

"

Brushing the ground with feet untouched

She longs to fly into the night

Dreaming of words she hasn't said

Things she hasn't done

Grasping tendrils of sleep

That no longer exist in her mind

Walking in this place, trying her feet

Upon silver clouds threatening

To send her to the ground

Dropping further and further

When she wakes up , her eyes,

So fearful glance into the direction of

The wall that you sit next to

She knows she's trying to

Be alive and you want to cut those

Strings that hold her heart So

Delicately she can feel you caressing her

Facing telling her it'll be alright

But also choking of hope

That's caught in her throat

Wringing the neck of her dreams

And looping them around

Saying the real world would kill

Her as he steals a kiss

And she fights back not

Wanting anymore than release

From this horrible nightmare she's

Stepped into climbing up

Stairs too long to finish

But keeping with the hopes she's

Placed in her heart, dragging

Them further knowing she will

Make it to that last step

Because despite what your eyes

Say to her and what you do

She'll last through this night

Dead or Alive.
