![]() Her HateA Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.![]() These dreams need to stop....![]() Her hateful screams fill my ears with pain Her tears run down my heart like acid rain Burning, twisting, poisoning the hand that helps Tries to heal all the hurt, the uncalled for whelps Breaking, trying, wishing to kill the violence Hating everything that brings to this mournful silence The pain spreads through my body, the anger tries to take Fighting back with no resolve, for the girl's sake She who holds the hurt of the world in her eyes The one who every night, alone she cries She thinks she's the one everyone should despise Who wonders, plans, and thinks of her heart that dies Every day with the hate that fills it, close to the top Nothing anyone says could ever make this stop Around her neck covering bruises left, a chain Thick and heavy, enough to cause much pain Now she holds up something, a little key As if she knows something that I cannot see Is it a chain to release the pain that she's holding? Or to stifle the hate of the world so smoldering I can only wish, or dream, or think as the scene shall fade With on her lips there's a silent goodbye bade © 2011 Miss Marie Riorden.
