I think I'll start writing more now. I need to pick back up on everything.

I only wish I could have you back

As the breeze whispers into my ear

The stolen love that we had shared

All those things I thought were clear

 

I begged and begged for you not to go

Stubbornly you persisted you must

I stood hopeless and lost for once

Wishing and hoping for that lust

 

Once more it's left hanging on the tongue

Those words I never knew to speak

I only wish I knew how to let it out

That I wasn't so young, so meek

 

Mistakes I have made I can't take back

No matter how much I might want to

Now seeing every little thing I've done wrong

I so hate that all of it was true

 

I ponder every night what might have happened

If I'd let you stay in my arms forever

Would we have lasted like we said

Or were we just not meant to ever be together?
