Country stars show, brightened by
the night sky
Another night to ponder life,
another night to die
Until you're awoken from the slumber, the sleep that's so deep
Suicidal tendencies ripple through your mind, then leave again like counting
sheep
Even those who cannot stand it, manage to see the night as the stars
cry
When you're gone, I'm sure there'll be people who will miss you
Having no insight on yourself, how great you are to your friends
Every day you sit and think, why couldn’t it have been something true?
Never wondering how they'd think, what they would say when it
ends
Tomorrow brings light to you, another day you have to live
Hateful towards yourself, cursing yourself as a coward
Each and every day you survive, thinking
there shouldn't be a drive
Seeing it through new eyes, maybe you could tell
That you are the best you can be, and that you're not the monster you think you
are
Anyone could tell you that, but you refuse to believe it
Relief fills their faces, when they see you once again
Sure enough another day you didn't want to be in
Silent are your words, as you pull your sleeves down more
Instantly hiding markings from the night before, ashamed for them to
see
"Loving" your friends, that's your biggest cause
Hiding away any pain you feel, any
scar you cut
Outwardly looking like a happy person, when inside you die
Under the pressure you feel, the pain that kills you
Even if they ask, you know you'll just lie to them
Tell them everything is alright, that you'll be just fine
Trying so hard not to let on what you feel, what you do
Each day brings a new challenge, a new lie to tell
Morning after morning, disappointment masks your face
Every day, another failed suicide attempt
