Nightmares that keep you awake each and every night

Some say, "Yes, you can sleep" but they don't know

Only people with this crazed disease realize what happens

Many nights as you lay and watch the ceiling, pondering things

Not only because you can't sleep, but you find you have to

In order to keep your sanity, in order to be able to sleep tomorrow

And only to have the pattern repeat once again
