Sing These Words

It sounds like a Children's marching song, don'tcha think?

Take these words, sing them bright

Let them be your shining light

March on through, don’t give in

Let them know that you will win

Keep in step, pacing steady

Let them know that you are ready

You won’t fall, or break or bend

This won’t be the very end

Don’t give in, you will fight

Let them know that you are right

Keep on going, marching through

Show them you are shining true

Sing these words, strong and bright

They will be our shining light

Now and always, it won’t end

You will always be my friend

I could hear a melody in my head as I read this piece. It does sound like a marching song. You could turn it into one with a few instruments...well the percussion. Or a marching band. Well I enjoyed this piece. It was written out pretty nicely. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.

The poem is very motivating and I tune could be added to turn it eventually into a song of perseverance and facing adversity. I just didn't see how the last stanza ties in to the rest of the poem. Just something to think about. Thank you for sharing this. Keep it up

I have to say that this poem reminded me of my daughter, she is currently in marching band, and doing quite well with it. I could see this cadence echoing in her brain as she practiced her routines on the field!
