The Puppet Master

The Puppet Master

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Tie me up on strings, that's all this life brings....

"

She's got me like a puppet

Tied up on her strings

I'm just her marionette

With the pain that suffering brings

I dance around, not in control

Doing what she wants all the time

It's not my say, or my opinion

I'm far too easy, I'm far too kind

Porcelain face, to match the eyes

Glazed over with tears, and artificial paint

The limbs stiff, unused and broken

She was just the goddess, the priest and the saint

She used me up, day by f*****g day

Tugging me around on those stupid lines

Making my every movement a living hell

This is my story, how it defines

She's got me like a puppet

I'm just a fake, plastic smile

The lies carry on like this

Mile by s****y mile

I'm tied up on lies, on hope, and false dreams

She's keeping in line, I can't do it all

I'm trying to help, just listen to me

Don't you hear me scream when I finally call?
