Mental Hospitality

Mental Hospitality

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

I love surfacing up old poems that I know are at least worthy for this site (:

~*~

Shred up my hopes and dreams
And throw me out on the street
Tear my soul at the seams
To knock me off my feet

Call me names and give me a label
For my skinny jeans and my personality
And for the things that aren't even able
Breaking down my sanity

Down me 'til I’m no more than nothing
Turn my heart to frozen ice
Telling me I can't do this or that , and I can't sing
Well now I won't be nice

I will be myself, you can't stop that
Try all you want , push and pull
Drag me around, your personal walking mat
Filling me with hate 'til I’m almost full

I will not succumb to this
My way out will overcome the impossible
All I need is a kiss
No need for the mental hospital

Insanity is my pleasure, don't you get it?
In order to make me break
You have to treat me like absolute s**t
Too much for me to intake

But you can't do that, can you?
Because I’m a little bit too strong , too cold
For you to even crack my surface , that's true
And my shield may be cracked and old
But it's not broken , and I’m not gonna be blue

I'm going to address this right now. I do take Read Requests, but that DOES NOT mean you need to RR me everything you write. And I do not read stories unless it's of my own free-will. So do not RR the.. more..
