Throw My Heart AwayA Poem by Miss Marie Riorden. This could be taken as either lyrics. Or a poem. I'm not sure
Let
me show you, let me show you, let me show you
Show
you what?
How
‘bout you take a walk, a little stroll with me
Then
I’ll tell you something, sickening to agree
I’m
pretty sure you’ve seen these bruises around my wrists,
But
why the hell don’t you open your eyes, have guilty twists?
I
know you see the damage my life has wrought
And
you know of what has happened to my heart, it’s quite caught
It’s
in its own little snare; I won’t let it go (let it go)
It’s
not anything new; it’s just a broken show
Now
lemme show you this
It’s
just a razor’s kiss
It
seems like I’ve fallen into a pretty ‘lil addiction
And
death’s in prediction
Now
come in close, I’ve one thing left to say
It’s
just a tiny secret; I’m throwing my heart away
Don’t
stray away from the path, we’ve still got a ways to go
I’m
telling you not to run, unless really you’re that low
See
this little mark here, yeah, that one right there
No,
it’s not from that, why do you have to stare?
Look,
it’s just a thing, not really all that important, really
I
guess I shouldn’t tell you , but it’s gotta be known apparently
It’s
the pretty concept, you see? Abuse runs in the family
Now
I’m only telling you this ‘cause you won’t tell; it can be shared secretly
Now
lemme show you that
It’s
a bruise from a baseball bat
This
one wasn’t even my fault, well not intentionally
You
ask you did it, my brother obviously
Come
in closer, I’ve got on thing left to say
It’s
just a tiny secret; I’m throwing my heart away
Torn
and shredded, beat and broken
I’m
throwing away my heart tonight
Burned
and hurting, bled out and empty
All
I have to wait for is when the time is right
Now
lemme show you this
The
killing razor’s kiss
It’s
my one and only pretty addiction
Death
is no longer a prediction
Now
you’re in close, last thing I’m ever to say
I
went and threw my heart away
