Saving His Heart

Saving His Heart

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Dunno what else to say to this, except. I hope whoever is spose to read this. Does

"

The toll is taken, I see you don't care

I'm sorry I tried, I just don't think it's fair

I want to show you, what you don't see

Make you believe your heart can be free

No more chains shall have to shackle your heart

And there's no more agony to tear you apart

Within my gaze, I watch you patiently

Your words speak of destruction and calamity

I know I may not know, what you feel inside

And maybe I don't know any tears you've cried

But I'm telling you, I want to try

Can I at least have that say, not goodbye

If it's not meant to be, I guess it's alright

Even though I beg to differ, you are bright

You do deserve someone to hold your heart with utmost care

Not to keep on carrying everyone's pain to bear

You think it's fine, that hollowness you feel

You don't believe in fairy tales, they're too surreal

And the pain that you keep locked down tight

I'm sorry to say, but I can see that plight

It shows right through, that mask you wear

Just something in it makes my heart start to tear

I want to protect you, to keep you safe

I know it's not needed, old memories need not chafe

You tell me not to worry, I'm sorry I can't do it

It's just another part of me, it actually kind of fits

I just want to help, is that so much to ask

Saving your heart, you know, it's not an impossible task
