I Don't Care

I Don't Care

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Yeah it's just the smile that drips the lies, and doesn't tell you how many tears i've cried

"

My face may not betray any emotion

And tears may not flow down my cheeks

But inside my heart there's such a commotion

And the the tears are like faucets with drippy leaks

Outside you see a smile, bright and cheery

Inside you don't see, the hurt that brands so clearly

And I know I act like I really don't care

But in honesty, I don't think it's fair

I will not express to you what I feel inside

All I can say to myself, is that I actually tried

Sure I don't mention the tears i've cried

Or how many times i've looked at you and lied

Just don't worry, I guess is all I can say

I'll make it through this, day by painful day

I'll just leave you with one piece of advice

Keep her happy, don't make her turn to ice
