Darkened Heart

Darkened Heart

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Dark and twisted to say the least, for my boyfriend's heart without the beast

"

Heart darkened by sinister things
An unspoken melody the evil sings
One that leaves you painful stings
From all the forcefully returned wedding rings

And you, you bring these tears
Because you relate to all my darkest fears
To block off her screaming from my ears
Throughout all those painful, lonely years

That i've seen all this gloating pain
My tears that fall like acid rain
I've lost my purpose, there is no gain
There's nothing in this life left to obtain

A need a hope, a shining light
To shine through this darkened night
One that shines very, very bright
And the heart darkened shall now fight
