Daddy's Poem

Daddy's Poem

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

If you're expecting something that's happy turn right around and leave . That's not me .

"
You used to hold my hand
When I quaked with fear
When I shook
You used to be my savior
My line not without a hook

You used to tell me bedtime stories
And smile at my jokes
Pick me up and play piggyback
While I giggled
I want all that back

When you used to speak to me
And be part of my life
When you actually loved me
When you cared
That's what I want to see

Who taught me how to say goodbye
The best that he could
Leaving me all alone
And breaking my 7 year old heart
With a call from the phone

Where had he gone
This man of my heart
Why had he left me
And torn me apart

I miss how things used to be
Back when I was a child
For now all I get from him
Is hurting and abuse
That isn't so dim

Now all I see
Is one broken hole
Where you left me and didn't care
Crying for you to stay
I just don't think it's fair

Daddy dearest
Daddy mine
Will you come back
Can you try
To be a father figure that you lack ?

I would do anything
Anything for you
To bring you back to me
But you have broken my heart
Far too much for you to see

I'm going to address this right now. I do take Read Requests, but that DOES NOT mean you need to RR me everything you write. And I do not read stories unless it's of my own free-will. So do not RR the.. more..
