I Know How It Feels

I Know How It Feels

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Meandering. I guess

"
I know how it feels,
Another pound;
Another day,
Another scale.
Not to eat, not to look,
Not to notice the empty stares;
glances from the broken mirror,
Frantic twitches, shying eyes.
Away and away now I hide.

I know how it feels,
A shiny blade;
Crimson reflection,
A locked door.
Flushed skin
With white lines,
Only bracelets
Cover the scars.

I know how it feels,
To stand there alone;
a room full of people,
but no one to talk.
Your voice is stuck,
Eyes are down;
Can't seem to move,
But I want to leave.

Do you know how it feels?

Although I can't say I relate to this too much, it was a great poem. It flowed really well and was well written. Overall, it was a good read.
