A Poem by Rebecca Josephina
"

Freshman in High School; We're Terrified.

"
We wander through the halls acting like the best.
But in truth we'd never pass life's test.
For even though we walk with a confident stride.
We have nothing to back up our phony pride.
We follow the trend of dark make-up and dark hair.
But even with our words, we're never really there.
We are just little girls trying to act like we're grown up.
So we pile on the jewelery and then just strut our stuff.
But inside we're terrified of having to cope life on our own.
All we want is Mommy and Daddy to welcome us back home.
We may draw upon our faces and act all too superior.
But all we do is cry when we look inside a mirror.

Fantastic! Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, good for you.
Yes, don't be in a hurry to grow up, it all goes so fast.

Thanks for sharing.

The most important thing on this entire planet to me is my family. I'm a simple person: I'd be perfectly content with iced tea, green grass, and the warm sun. I'm still wondering how to be happy, .. more..
