A Moment of LucidityA Poem by BeckyBoodlesAbout a lucid moment, between waking and sleeping. It's your tip-toeing across the wooden floor that alerts me to the extremities of darkness---

Wrrrrrrrr....
It's really the buzzing that woke me, the silence so thick you could feel it

against your chest. Too thick. Too possessive to provide the odd comfort of another body lying against your own. The passion, of course, was there despite the frightening atmosphere of decadence. It seemed to kiss me, really---- a love too sacred to bring a smile, almost oppressive in its very divinity.
Tenderly
it seemed to pull my soul out of my chest. A tearing feeling, the moment the universe was opened, the strings pulled to their tauntest, sacredness itself made so thick it chokes the throat, brings down the wall so carefully built, and shoves lust into your unwilling heart! LUST for the most chaotic of worlds, LUST for depth of being, LUST for living itself pulled from the darkest tombs of the mind so carefully gaurded.
I surrendered.
And She, why She--- She claimed it as Her own! For it was feminine, just as we all once were: trapped in the abyss of the womb, on the brink of death and rebirth.
She showed me my very essence, and spoke in words that I could not hear.
Then the Darkness retreated, and I was left to sleep once more.
