Ugly Blanket

Ugly Blanket

A Story by Becky Lawrence
"

We all need a really warm and cuddly friend sometimes!

"
On cold winter nights you wrap your arms around me, keeping me safe from the freezing air. When I'm tired, you let me drift to sleep on your chest. When I don't want to be around other people, you hug me and comfort me. You are cuddly and soft too.
With all the tears that you have absorbed, it would feel wrong to give you up. You mean something to me. Even when you are worn out and shredded, I'll keep you. I will probably sew on patches and stitch you back together every time you tore.
Thank you, ugly blanket, for always being so awesome. I would have spent a lot of winter nights freezing my a*s off if it weren't for you.

A short and stupid thing about a blanket I made this winter. It's really ugly, but I love it any way :D
