Home: Stupid Phone

A Chapter by Becky Lawrence
"

Pellervo's increasing hatred for people.

"
I throw my backpack down and slam my door shut. Maybe if I am violent enough towards inanimate objects, I won't have to punch the next human that I see.
Aiti gently knocks on the door as she opens it. "How was your first day?" She asks. Isn't it obvious by the slamming doors and stomping feet? My day f*****g sucked.
"AGH!" I scream and flow down, face first, onto my bed.
"That bad, huh?" Aiti sits down next to me. I don't answer her, just sigh. "Did something happen? Tell me all that happened."
"Well... In the morning I got kicked out by Mrs. Crazy for having stuff on my nose. While going to my locker I found out that Angie and Kayla have boyfriends. Said boyfriends hate my guts and told me to never speak to Angie and Kayla because it will ruin their social statuses. As I was leaving the lunchroom Brian threw the gross food at me. During lunch... During lunch I played Dead Space with a bunch of guys." I pause. "After that my day sucked some more because Marty Maniac dumped ink on my shoes." Aiti looks at my beaten old DCs and their new blue color.
"Want to go shopping?" She asks. Why would shopping solve any of this? Well, I mean, shopping is fun and all, but it won't allow my friends to talk to me or get Marty Maniac off my back.
"Whatever." I mumble. "Can I get shoes while we are at it?"
"That's why we are going shopping." Aiti laughs. "Come on, Paskat Housussa will be home soon. Unless you want to bring him with, you should get ready to go." I always wonder why Aiti calls Peertu Paskat Housussa. I know Paskat Housussa means s**t pants, but how does that make sense? Peertu doesn't s**t himself, does he?
"Aiti, why do you call Peertu Paskat Housussa?" I ask as we leave my room.
"It's a long story." Aiti chuckles. "Peertu was a really stupid kid."
"Okay?" I pretend like it makes sense.
As we walk into the front room my phone buzzes. "Huora." I glare at it.
"Watch your language." Aiti pinches my arm as she passes me. "Your cell isn't a w***e."
"Maybe it is! My phone has been running off will all the pretty LGs out there." I say as I pull it out of my pocket. Aiti rolls her eyes.
The screen reads 'Kayla, one new message'. Of course she would text me. 'Please forgive Brian!' she'll say 'He didn't mean it!'
Turns out, my friends don't give that much of a s**t about me. The text message tells me that Brian says I have to delete Kayla on Facebook, stop talking to her at school, stop sitting by her in class, and no longer eat lunch by her. I shut my phone and put it back in my pocket.
"Aiti! I'm home!" Peertu yells as he bursts through the door. It startles us and I almost fall bakcwards down the stairs.
"Hey, Paskat Housussa." I smirk, knowing that Peertu hates when I call him that.
Peertu is a Senior, I'm just a Sophmore, but we look about the same age. I don't know if I look older, he looks younger, or both. Sometimes people think we are twins, but I just don't see it. I look like Aiti, he looks like Isa. Sometimes (always) people are dumb.
My phone buzzes again. "HUORA!" I scream at it. Aiti pinches my arm again and warns me about my language. The phone buzzes again, and again, and a few more times before I can get it out of my pocket.
'New Message from...' And it rambles off a bunch of numbers I don't know. I open the first one as my phone buzzes a few more times. 'Angie: Why the hell were you talking to Mike? He's ew.' I hit delete. My phone buzzes again. 'TEXT ATTACK!' The next text reads.
"Who is texting you?" Peertu asks. I shrug.
"I'll just turn it off, it's probably someone being stupid." I say as my phone shuts down. "Stupid phone, always ringing when you shouldn't."
"Paskat, we are going to the store, hurry with putting your things away." Aiti moves for Peertu to get by.
"Why do we have to bring s**t with us?" I frown a little, trying to hide my laughter as Peertu mumbles under his breath about my stupidity.
