AutumnA Poem by Beccyseasons come and go, as does love.I have been led astray by the trees, that even as they sway and rustle gently to an Autumn breeze, disrobe. I have been seduced by the fading scent of the last carefully mown grasses; the bright eyed squirrel, who harbours no lust, save for that of abundant harvest. I have lain naked beneath a silver wreathed hunter's moon, the stars so close I can reach up and pluck them from the sky. And I have loved you season through, in pensive nocturne, stripped bare of all summer dreaming; storm brewed by the look in your eyes, as the wild geese fly to far distant horizons and the first flurry of snow cloaks whatever colour remains.
