Adulthood

Adulthood

A Poem by Rebecca Leigh

Something is gray,
Within my soul,
Suffocating and snuffing out,
The zeal for my future.

I am afraid I have had my best days,
For which i cannot retrieve again.

I once had something to say,
Now there is a hole,
Where my passion burst out
Doctor, i need a suture.

Doubt and fear dictates what i say,
Where i used to yell, I now abstain.
