In BetweenA Poem by Rebecca LeighIn Between
Once independent, fierce, and headstrong. I am losing myself in the way I feel for you I was an army of one, a ruler of my own.
Now all my thoughts turn to you, I changed my appearance to fit your mold, Of your attraction. Not even considering making a retraction.
I drive miles just for the slightest chance to see you, to be present with you, It never happens.
I know I am too good for you, But my mind and heart battle. Your actions can be kind, but more often than not, They are not.
You twist situations and make me out as the fool, never have I ever, been in love with anyone who doesn't want to see me.
Sometimes you act like I am the one you want, At others, I am an obligation I am trapped in the limbo of you. Set me free, Tell me what you want, Beacause I am going insane. © 2017 Rebecca LeighReviews
