Pandamonium

Pandamonium

A Poem by Rebecca Leigh

Electricity courses throughout my veins,
ignites my cardiac pump,
the beating,
rising in my ears,
as she wraps her arms around my neck,
and pulls me into a passionate kiss.

In that moment,
I am in a dream,
and it is only she and I,
Until reality rushes back to my brain,
and I am ripped from nirvana.
and free of her trance.
only wanting more.

she is careful to keep me at bay,
but reels me in when she's drunk.
her kisses I cherish in any form,
they are my oxygen,
I inhale each one delicately.
I know it is wrong, and unhealthy,
but I am ill;
Ill with her affection

i like the theme and how the last two lines lean in that direction...that dependency kind of love...

really strong write...although i would let the reader exhume the feeling from it....author's notes kind of steer us in a direction...better to feel our way through the maze.

The sense of want is so palpable here Rebecca...the lure of love and passion is seldom without pain at times...beautifully done :)

Some illnesses are okay.
"I know it is wrong, and unhealthy,
but I am ill;
Ill with his affection"
I liked the above lines. Thank you Rebecca for sharing the excellent poetry.

To see love in the negative like this and bring it into the positive shows an interesting and subtle mind.
