ice princess (Working title)A Poem by Rebecca Leigh
I destroyed the wall,
preserving my aortic clock, open and exposed: Scared of the fall, of my life I take stock, and all that has transposed. thought there was a connection, it was most likely imagined, met with a lack of communication. not a normal reaction, this falsified attraction, met with a hopeless proclamation. my fortress now in rubble, the ego peeks. a sight within. I try not to crumble, detest feeling weak! bitterness slithers in, hardening once more to be vulnerable no more. © 2016 Rebecca LeighReviews
