I am a poet,
Go ahead:
Say I'm stupid,
Degrade my passion,
Tell me I'm going no where.
Be critical
I'm smart enough,
To love what I do,
To let my writing take me places,
To become better from the criticism.
I'm a writer not because I choose,
I'm a writer because I am,
It is an extension of me,
Pouring out in prose, and art.
Writing is love, hate, hurt, hope,
It creates and tears down,
It's messy, intense, wonderful.
It's not just an outlet,
It's a way of life.
It is the best way to see my soul,
To know who I am,
Is to see what I write.
I am a creator of  dreams,
I am a poet!
