Crushing on the Setting SunA Poem by Rebecca Leigh
Crushing on the setting sun
My heart quakes when you are near, It knows you are close before my eyes, and little by little it crumbles, to particles unrecognized. you say one thing, yet do another, my ego tears, and confusion rips, Until I am racked with fear. Fear of limbo, of what is not said, what is not done, And i know i should run away, avert my senses, but paralyzed by you. You make me blind, of the things you do, Intentionally or not, you made me a fool. I unwittingly set in to you, and offered my whole self, and still walk on egg shells. At times i relate to a hunter, searching its prey. dont make a noise, or scare it away. One wrong phrase or action, You change your mnd, im a masochist, you are my weakness, oh sweet misery. You do not want what I do, But its my greatest wish, you did. © 2015 Rebecca LeighAuthor's Note
