Syrian war is NOT your business

Syrian war is NOT your business

A Poem by Salar Majak
"

seriously why does every government gets a say in this???

"

I don't want your pity

I only want to grieve alone..

To cry, with all my heart to scream:

''why did it have to be my home?"'

S**t happens....that I know

but why completely destroyed?

why does it have to be my Syria?

Killed........Abandoned...........alone.......

It'll all be forgotten by the world

like nothing had ever happened

in two or even three years later

maybe a little bit more

Don't dare say I'm wrong!

Remember Vietnam? Iraq?

remember Palestine?

didn't think so, no.

This is why I don't need your pity

or world's governments to play a role

If it's dying... let it die in peace

Death is more merciful than foreigners souls

Don't fight then blame others

this battle is certainly not yours

you'll just turn your backs on us later

after starting a third world war

Forgive me for like this ranting

war strips courage from my core

but the pain of losing my country

hurts too much to be ignored

Russia, America, China, Brittan, the whole world's governments are planning to get into the Syrian war and that'll just make things worse

I could well understand and feel your position. I am from a country which was colonized for 300 years by foreigners and history reveals that our forefathers had been treated as second class citizens in our own country. After fighting for our freedom my country (or our leaders) allowed itself to surrender a part of its sovereignty to foreign domination. But if only for humanitarian considerations, I do not see anything wrong for other countries to be extending assistance. yet, there is always the possibility that some countries would be extending assistance with a hidden political and economic intentions. This is something every citizen should be alarmed about. Very creative vent. May Peace be with your country.

American people believe in peace, harmony and peace. Our heart feel sad I don't know if you believe but in reality we American's are most kindest people in this whole world, we suffer but we donate.
God bless your country and your soul. Amen

Your welcome :)
Yeh your right .. day to day ... the syria conflict's uplifting. BBC World news's broadcasting every new update of that place .. Thank god your safe. Yeh .. your cool, i don't know what the gov.'s doing .. everybody's fighting for ..... i don't know for what .. it's very dangerous place to live there now and thank god your now not over there. .. But your this poem's letting everyone know that how you're feeling something deep about that place. I hope the conflict one day'll be stop. Thanks for writing this poem, it's a powerful topic to think on it and to put up the views in the forms of words to let everybody know what actually's happening over there in this world. Anyway ... i liked your writing theme. You've written it right from the heart. Your love, emotions, anger, faith everything's floating over the words you penned on. Keep writing.

Ahh, hope it'll be ended someday.
I'm sorry for the conflict in Syria. I went to Syria in the nineties. Beautiful old cities and good people. It break my heart to see the bloodshed. I wish for the war to end. You are right. USA is a poor example. USA use agent orange on Vietnam. Destroyed million acres of land and killed more than we will ever know. Even killed their own soldiers. I wish people from the Middle East would demand the USA stay away from the ancient places. Don't need the barbarians to create more problems. I hope you are alright. I pray for calm and peace for your Syria everyday.

:) yep! we must
Very timely, and the first poetic work I have read from a Syrian herself on the US intervention. Artistically, I feel the emotional core is in the line "Death is more merciful than foreigners souls", an astoundingly poignant line I could easily imagine as a key excerpt from any great contemporary novel.

I might just have to try that! Hemingway, here I come...
i don't want us there...i agree with this...we too often go where we aren't wanted, thinking we can solve every other country's problems and wars, when we can't take care of our own...

really strong rant, this poem is.

thank Jacob, i agree with you. and i'm glad you like it.
I am strongly of the opinion that governments have to stabilize by themselves... It's not our business to butt in, to try and control the government of another nation. It's as if calling you and the people of your home incompetent, unfit to rule yourself. I grieve your loss, this turmoil that is ripping apart your home. I pray you comfort, and I pray you peace....
