Sighed and smiled reading your words. What joys do we lose while crawling through the mud and mire? And how if more could walk into their dreams for awhile, and see what's truly of value; these sacred towers of light. I wish this for a world that seems to live in shadows, in endless sorrows. Dreams, sweet dreams.

Your author's note sounds a little apologetic, like there's something wrong with your premise. On the other hand, I get sick of all the poems written about bad stuff, so I'm delighted to see a poem that has uninterrupted bliss as a goal! Are we obligated to be miserable just becuz the world is? Do we feel guilty when we enjoy simple pleasures instead of mourning all the world's tragedies? I think not! Your poem is the perfect prescription to set ourselves free. Your details are exquisite & well-described. I wish more people felt this way & wrote about it often! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I see you like Metallica. I listen to Eye of the beholder over and over. Great song and Fade to black help me understand my mother's suicide.

Beautiful piece. I Wish I Could Do This more. I've found being a dad, husband and grandfather I find my joy in giving all my time to others. I will share this poem with them.
Ivory Tower, Never Ending Story, you just brought me back to my childhood. Such a lovely write with a dreamy effect, written with outstanding imagery and message. One of my favs of yours, well done, Sal.

thank you a lot! i'm glad the poem could take you back to forgotten spaces of your memory :D
Love the nod to Never Ending Story...Very childlike and innocent...brought back memories of my youth.
A very dreamy poem. Nicely done. Perhaps more will realize and remember the magic of dreams...
Very lovely and uplifting read, makes me want to just drift off into your poem....perhaps not a place we can linger forever but a good place to gain perspective.
This is gorgeous! :)
It has an almost dreamy drift to it, and I think if one was to read it aloud I would be almost a meditation song. The rhythm to it is just flawless, and the message simple yet outstandingly clear and meaningful.
Amazing!

Thank you so much!!!!!!i am humbled and really glad you like it
ohh this is so beautiful my friend,no i will never blame you
if you took your way to the ivory tower,do you see me there
i ve lived there too ,for too long, just as you say,i closed all my eyes
deafened my self to all voices and cries ,like no one else lived by
i chose to hide ,i took to heavens,i built one for me,so i would not see
any others, you can enjoy all the world stupidity, and leave me there
its a place i would not trade ,its a dream i will never let go,i make my own
wishes come true,i use magic to touch, the skies and all alone
for no one would like to see or hear what i have to see and say
lovely write
