the silent noise

Have you ever felt so alone?
that although you are surrounded with people
you still feel the cold,
the emptiness of your troubled soul...

I lie back, on the sweet wet grass
listening....
listening...
to the misery of
the simply complicated silence sound

 

i hear it everywhere
hidden within the noise, i hear it!
in the depth of the loud world...
through the roars of the sea waves
crashing at the feat
of the abandoned shore....

i hear it in my soul
in the sadness of misery
i hear the silence that flows
overwhelming my darkened heart
draining it from rays of hope.

and although surrounded with people
i still feel so alone.

This is great portrayal of all an emotion that is felt by so many people. It gives a voice to the disembodied being.. Although we know the feeling to be falsified and we are never truly alone, it does not cease to calm the roaring sounds of silence.. Well done :)

i thank you very much for youe beautiful words, i'm humbled and glad you like it, yes, silence is deafening sometimes, but not only in the night, it can come at any time of the day, deep with in the traffic, the alarm, the cake mixing machine, the noise of silence hidden within these noises can come when it wishes, am i making sence????
