the silent noise

the silent noise

A Poem by Salar Majak

Have you ever felt so alone?
that although you are surrounded with people
you still feel the cold,
the emptiness of your troubled soul...

I lie back, on the sweet wet grass
listening....
listening...
to the misery of
the simply complicated silence sound

i hear it everywhere
hidden within the noise, i hear it!
in the depth of the loud world...
through the roars of the sea waves
crashing at the feat
of the abandoned shore....

i hear it in my soul
in the sadness of misery
i hear the silence that flows
overwhelming my darkened heart
draining it from rays of hope.

and although surrounded with people
i still feel so alone.

This is great portrayal of all an emotion that is felt by so many people. It gives a voice to the disembodied being.. Although we know the feeling to be falsified and we are never truly alone, it does not cease to calm the roaring sounds of silence.. Well done :)

Oh dear, very profound, I'm so happy you listened as you discribe....
I had a tear in my eye, really meant, because I can so relate....

But loneliness for me is master... (maybe a thing you will feel when you're 30) and we reconnect ~

Loved this piece.....

This is beautiful and I can very much relate to it. To hear silence in the sadness of the misery in your soul, what an amazing way to describe it.
