the silent noise

the silent noise

A Poem by Salar Majak

Have you ever felt so alone?
that although you are surrounded with people
you still feel the cold,
the emptiness of your troubled soul...

I lie back, on the sweet wet grass
listening....
listening...
to the misery of
the simply complicated silence sound

i hear it everywhere
hidden within the noise, i hear it!
in the depth of the loud world...
through the roars of the sea waves
crashing at the feat
of the abandoned shore....

i hear it in my soul
in the sadness of misery
i hear the silence that flows
overwhelming my darkened heart
draining it from rays of hope.

and although surrounded with people
i still feel so alone.

This is great portrayal of all an emotion that is felt by so many people. It gives a voice to the disembodied being.. Although we know the feeling to be falsified and we are never truly alone, it does not cease to calm the roaring sounds of silence.. Well done :)

LOVE THIS! I have always thought that rhyming in poetry makes it more powerful... But now I see the light! This is a great free verse/prose. I would encourage reviewing spelling before posting though. Great job!

yeah :) thanks
While I believe everyone has felt such emotions at times in there lives, I also believe that when one looks up into the night sky and sees the stars shining, twinkling and sharing their nocturnal light with us, we are reminded that even though hearts may be far and distant, there are always those who care embracing us in our thoughts and dreams. So we truly are never alone. =)

:) you are so very right, thanks Aaron!
Oh yes, I know that sound and feeling quite well. You have captured it's masked presence, decoding it's form to share in the future.

My answer- Yes. Yes i have felt it and yes it is a horrid feeling. I am sad you had to experience this feeling... it sucks.. it really does. I've had this feeling too many times to count yet it never fades nor does it become easier :( I hope that this feeling has dissapeared!!!

Loves the writing an the imagery :) Well done :)

I can relate to the first stanza, interesting dark and sad poem, it shows very well the feeling of sadness in a world full with "friends" that can't understand nobody, great job

Wow. That is all I can say. The way you composed and played with the sounds in 'on the sweet wet grass' is masterful.

This title was a very good movie. The poem is very good also. Some noises are heard by few and can mean many things. Thank you for the excellent poem.
