i lost my pen

i lost my pen

A Poem by Salar Majak

I lost my pen
my little pen of blue
i lost my pen
maybe this is nothing to you

creepy thoughts
roam in my head
about what they'll do
if they find my friend

my little gadget
of mental crimes
my little partner
in felonies of mind

Oh boy i wonder
what they will do
when they find my pen
and capture me too.

they'll send me to
an insanity asylum
they'll lock me up
in a silent room

for the souls I've killed
on a piece of paper
for the blood stained spots
as a signature he made them

my madness lies
within its ink
and my soul smiles
in madness it sinks

i lost my pen
my little pen of blue
i lost my pen
Oh, what should i do?

The pen is innocent, it won't break under interrogation. It won't tell lies, it won't grass on you, your secrets are safe. You alone can decipher what the ink will write. You alone can make it talk. I like therelationship you have with your pen, your writing is the marriage between you and your papermate. You are not going mad!

:D thanks!! i'm glad you like it!
The power lies in your words! not in your pen!--that's in reality sense, then again, this is, after all, a poem involving metaphors and such... so the pen might symbolize her own will to write... it is but a very good work! A poem that definitely explains why pens are sharper than swords!

A little bit of twitch on the spelling of an "asylem" to "asylum" and all will be well :)

It funny, my favorite pen ran out of ink yesterday, blue ink. I held it in my hand above the trash can and just couldn't find the will to let it go. It was nothing special, just a pen with some company logo on it, but it felt good in my hand and it wrote nicely. that pen now lies in my desk drawer...I am allowing ot to rest in peace.

Your poem caught me funny this morning because of this incident yesterday. I like how your words paint your pen as something special to you, though in the end ...it is just a pen.

Very cool write, I like the feel and your idea is great. Nice job.

I love the feeling this creates... the rich, dark mood... Have always loved to write... to create other worlds and lives and wondrous mindscapes... Truly a pen has enchantments that can pour out of the ink... Brilliant write!

hehe. thanks, happy new year to you too :)
The thing about pens is that they aren't just what you use to write, they're more than that. They're what you express your emotion through, what you channel your thoughts into. Fantastic write, made me think.

This brought laughter and tears for me. You have a gift in making an object drip with life's energy. I'm sure that the little blue pen just had to meet up with the black one to go handle a rogue piece of paper somewhere. =)

Awesome Ink!

Great job, this poem shows how found a writer is of our tools and how great you personified him(the pen), it's almost like a child is telling the story.
