How I drive

How I drive

A Poem by Becca

Wind whipping at my hair.

Speeding down a long empty country road.

Music blaring, bass thumping.

This is how I drive.

Top down, screamo and heavy metal.

My favorite songs to help me zone out.

Head bobbing, fist pumping.

This is how I drive.

It helps me clear my mind.

Helps blast out the bad memories.

Down a long country road,

You see my red convertible fly by.

Music so loud, you cover your ears.

This how I like it.

Concentration is the key

To clearing my mind.

My heavy metal screamo music helps.

Favorite bands in a row.

Top down, music blaring.

This is how I drive.

Down this country road,

I feel free to be who I am.

No worries of what others think.

This is how I drive

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
